棧貳庫

The “棧貳庫” is located at Pier 2 of Kaohsiung Port. During the Japanese colonial period, it was a single-story warehouse with brick walls and tiled roofs. After being damaged during Allied bombings, it was rebuilt in the 50th year of the Republic of China using reinforced concrete and a steel truss roof structure without any interior pillars to facilitate the movement of goods. In the 92nd year of the Republic of China, it was declared a historical building by the Kaohsiung City government. For decades, from storing sugar and various goods to welcoming passengers arriving on cruise ships, the “棧貳庫” has not only witnessed the changes in Kaohsiung Port but has also extended its arms to embrace the future of the harbor city.
